Tom Stedman

What do you do at work? I’m responsible for ensuring our clients needs are looked after and the work is done by the team to the standard our clients expect in a timely manner.

What do you like most about Norsta? I love helping clients understand their numbers and finding tax saving opportunities. I also enjoy automating processes, both internally and supporting client with it externally.

What do you enjoy outside of work? Nothing better than doing some form of exercise, either in the gym or out walking.

Random fact about Tom! Shortly after passing my driving test I had the experience of a horse landing on the front bonnet of my car!

Hugh Stedman

What do you do at work?

Having led the business for many years, I stepped back in late 2024 following a serious accident that required an extended period of recovery. During this time, my eldest son, Tom, stepped into the role of Managing Director and has led the business with exceptional commitment, capability, and sound judgement, ensuring continuity and steady progress.

I have since returned to the business on a part-time basis, supporting Tom and gradually resuming a number of responsibilities as my recovery continues. Looking ahead, I plan to increase my involvement further, including spending more time with clients, while maintaining the strong leadership structure that is now in place.

What do you like most about Norsta? Supporting clients and contributing to the ongoing success of their businesses

What do you enjoy outside of work? I am a volunteer with the RRT charity and enjoy socialising with family and friends.

Random fact about Hugh! ‍‍While studying A-level Maths and Statistics, I completed two statistical research projects: one examining whether “randomised” random numbers were truly more random, and another exploring whether a North–South political divide exists in the UK. The analysis showed the first assumption did not hold, while the second did — an early indication of my long-standing enthusiasm for numbers and data.

Chris Stedman

What do you do at work? ‍Nearly all of my working life has been spent on tax and related matters. So my twilight years are no different… tax compliance, tax planning, watching the development of the UK tax code and helping clients understand the best way forward.

What do you like most about Norsta? ‍I like to get my head around complex situations and legislation and put these into a format that clients can easily grasp, enabling them to make sound decisions. I particularly enjoy the challenges of estate planning.

What do you enjoy outside of work? At my age a little peace and quiet! … and the company of family and friends.

Random fact about Chris!‍ After 3-4 years with HMRC I worked for 28 years in the tax department of Myers Clark, a leading firm of accountants in Watford, where I developed my grasp of personal and business tax. I also gained valuable experience relating to deceased estates and trusts.

Sam Stedman

What do you do at work? ‍My main responsibilities are liaising with new clients and helping bring them on board. I also head up the bookkeeping team and manage a number of client accounts.

What do you like most about Norsta? Onboarding new clients and setting up processes to get their finance functions running smoothly and efficiently.

What do you enjoy outside of work? Family outings with my wife and three kids

Random fact about Sam!‍ I share a birthday with Sir Edmund Hillary – although there are a few years between us!

Mark Scott

What do you do at work? ‍I am involved in many areas of accountancy, but my focus is management accounting

What do you like most about Norsta? I really enjoy being part of an effective and growing team

What do you enjoy outside of work? Spending time with family and friends

Random fact about Mark!‍ I started working in practice relatively recently, having spent many years in senior finance roles within a range of commercial and non-profit organisations.

Amelia Stedman

What do you do at work? ‍‍I process management accounts, annual accounts, and Tax Returns for clients. I also do a little bookkeeping and am a certified Xero advisor.

What do you like most about Norsta? I love working with numbers – and that’s what I do all the time!

What do you enjoy outside of work? ‍Crochet and walking (but not together!)

Daniella Faruoli

What do you do at work? ‍Management Accounts

What do you like most about Norsta? Friendly Team, relaxed work environment

What do you enjoy outside of work? Going to the gym and spend time with family and friends

Arthur Hardman

What do you do at work? ‍I am a bookkeeper.

What do you like most about Norsta? The positivity and community in the office. Such a lovely environment to work in.

What do you enjoy outside of work? I enjoy filming and editing challenges and travel videos.

Random fact about Arthur!‍ I am an ex national gymnast!

Linda Mabuto

What do you do at work? ‍I primarily assist with the preparation of annual accounts for clients and also support the management accounts process.

What do you like most about Norsta? I love working with my team, it’s such a friendly and welcoming environment. I also enjoy analysing numbers and have a strong eye for detail; nothing slips past me!

What do you enjoy outside of work? I enjoy relaxing and spending time with friends and family. I also love a good pampering session and teaching within my church community.

Emmeline Schlaudraff

What do you do at work? ‍I work in a support role, helping out with bookkeeping, credit control and general admin.

What do you like most about Norsta? Definitely the team and culture – there’s such a positive vibe throughout the office.

What do you enjoy outside of work? Playing with my kids and watching them grow and learn! As well as spending time with friends and family – anything that keeps me busy!

Random fact about Emmeline!‍ When I rode a bike for the first time I ended up in a bed of stinging nettles at the bottom of the hill!

Alysha Stedman

What do you do at work? ‍I work in a part-time role as Marketing Manager and assist with bookkeeping and general admin.

What do you like most about Norsta? Each day has a new challenge! Excited about where the future could take us since rebranding to Norsta – it looks rather bright!

What do you enjoy outside of work? Socialising (of course!), being with my son and exploring new places/cultures/travel – I’ve been to over 15 countries! Denmark (Copenhagen) and Italy (Rome/ Lake Como) are current contenders for no.1 favourite!

Random fact about Alysha!‍ There’s over 16 ways to spell my name – very few get the correct spelling first time!

Oh, I am also quite a good at using the exclamation mark! My English teacher once asked me to go through an essay I’d written and count how many sentences I hadn’t ended in one – sure it was only couple.
